Puppy Training Package- Puppies 8-16 weeks old
Puppies go through a critical period of development which ends at around 16 weeks. The goal of my training program is to get you and your puppy off to a great start. I will focus on establishing a housebreaking routine, handling, socialization and some basic obedience commands.
Housebreaking requires patience, consistency and typically takes several months to achieve. The most important part is to establish a reliable structure. Housebreaking will be tailored to the needs of each owner and dog.
Handling
introduces a puppy to being touched and handled for its lifetime by groomers, veterinarians and family members. I will gently introduce and expose the puppy to a variety of these experiences (ie: bathing, brushing, nail-clipping, etc..).
Socialization
is also vital at this stage of development. Exposing the puppy to a variety of places, sounds, sights, people and other dogs in the proper way, sets the puppy up for a lifetime of fun and acceptance of many adventures without fear.
